McClure's bloody mary mix

i have a ridiculous obsession with bloody mary's. the best one i've found so far is at wilfie & nell where boyfriend is the brunch chef. and he redid their entire brunch menu [i'm totally promoting him). he makes the bloody mary mix from scratch.

my friend had told me about McClure's pickles, but it didn't really intrigue me til i went to the meat hook with boyfriend a couple weeks ago in brooklyn. the jars were in the front of the store near the cash register. they were amazing to look at. too bad i didn't take a picture because this picture doesn't do it justice. on the shelf above were mason jars full of home made bloody mix.

i am so excited to go back to the meat hook and hopefully snag myself a couple of jars. i'd get a jar per week if it wasn't so damn expensive.
